Paul L. ("Lee") Davies, of Westford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 19, 2025, at the age of 83.

Paul was born May 17, 1942, to Paul and Margaret Davies and was a lifelong resident of Westford. He graduated from Westford Academy in 1960. Paul furthered his education, graduating with an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1962 and he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Boston Architectural College in 1973. He was the Principal and Founder of Paul L. Davies & Associates Architects, Inc. in Lowell. From 1973 until his retirement, Paul's firm was responsible for numerous residential and commercial designs throughout the Merrimack Valley and beyond. He was a registered architect in MA, NH, ME, and NY. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects.

Paul was devoted to public service and his community. He was a Corporator at Emerson Hospital. Over the years he served on the following Westford boards, committees and organizations: Permanent Town Building, Permanent School Building, School Building Needs, Planning Board, Industrial and Development, Historical District Study, Visions Committee, Partnership for Education, Educational Foundation Advisory, Rotary Club (Past President) and the Northern Middlesex Area Planning Commission. He also coached youth basketball, hockey, and baseball.

Paul was a member of the Westford Academy 1955 Hall of Fame Football Team. He was the recipient of the Westford Academy Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Gordon Seavy Award. He enjoyed memberships at Sky Meadow Country Club, Nabnasset Lake Country Club, Stony Brook Fish and Game Association, Westford Sportsman's Club, William North Lodge A.F. & A.M., Aleppo Shriners, and Scottish Rite Valley of Lowell. Paul loved boating, traveling to Florida and Aruba, playing golf and racquetball, and he was an avid football fan.

Paul was the beloved husband of Beverly O'Connell Davies. Devoted father to Tamiko Davies and her wife Terry Guerette of Portland, ME, Derek Davies of Cambridge, and the late Deron Davies. Adored grandfather of Cameron and Sooki of Portland, ME, and Mark Davies of Cambridge. Loving brother of Dianne Davies Castle of The Villages, FL and the late Brian Davies and his wife Rita of N. Berwick, ME. Paul is also survived by his stepchildren and grandchildren Shelley, David, Colin and Madelynne Sainato, Judy O'Connell and Anna Bibeau, all of Wilmington. Further survived by his nieces and nephews, numerous friends, "The Copperheads", and colleagues. Paul was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Joy Davies. The Davies family extends gratitude to Lee and Lynn as well as the Westford Fire Department for their capable assistance to Paul.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Interment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.

Derek, I'm very sorry for your loss. My memories of your dad are things: that black Supra; the condo on the hill; and think of him on the rare times I pass the bane of his portfolio in Parker's Village.
