William L. Faulkner

William Luther Faulkner, of Middleboro, passed away July 11, 2025 at the age of 82.
Bill was born in Lowell, MA and grew up in Tyngsborough, MA. He graduated from Westford Academy and received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University. He lived most of his life in Simsbury, CT before retiring to Virginia, and later settling in Middleboro, MA. Bill was a talented electrical engineer, with a focus in aerospace. Most of his career was at Hamilton Standard where he had the opportunity to develop backpacks worn on the moon for the Apollo Moon landings.
He cherished the times spent with those he loved. Family was everything and always came first. He enjoyed summers at their camp in Maine, and fun family vacations. He also enjoyed playing bridge, riding horses, and square dancing with friends. A Corvette enthusiast, Bill joined a Corvette club and owned four throughout his life. Bill and his wife were avid travelers, taking trips to Bermuda, England, Europe, Hawaii, Cancun, the Canadian Rockies, as well as many National Parks. Bill had a love for animals, especially dogs and horses. He will be remembered for his caring, giving, and bright personality. Bill will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Mary Jean Faulkner (Selmeier) of Middleboro. Loving father of Prescott Faulkner and his wife Elizabeth of Rochester, MA, and of Christopher Faulkner and his wife Leena of Quaker Hill, CT. Cherished grandpa of Ethan, Emily, Lucas, Liam, and Abigail. Adored son of the late John Faulkner II, step-mother Bernardine Faulkner (Cormier), and mother Mary Faulkner (Curran). Caring brother of Mary Jo Mooers and her late husband Neil of New Hampshire, John Faulkner of Maine, and Elizabeth Pritchard and her husband Charles of Maine. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 12-2 PM in the Chapman Funeral Home, Bridgewater, MA. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 2 PM in the Chapman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, Inc.
