Paul C. Hamel Jr.

Hamel, Paul C., Jr. age 79 a longtime resident of Bergenfield died Thursday, December 7, 2023. Beloved husband of Cecilia (nee) Counihan. Devoted father of Christine Hamel, Tricia Hamel, Diane Triolo and her husband Michael. Loving grandfather of Caitlin, Kayleigh, & Charlotte Triolo Paul worked for many years as a Telecommunications Engineer at Western Union, A&P, Jamesway, & spent 20 years at Medco (now Express Scripts). He served in the United States Coast Guard. He was also a parishioner at Mt. Carmel RC Church, Tenafly. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday 4-8PM at the Barrett Leber Funeral Home, 148 Dean Drive., Tenafly. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Tenafly. Interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Hamel's name to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research are appreciated by the family.
