Paul Jacobowitz Obituary

Paul Shroder Jacobowitz, 81, passed away Monday, January 6, 2024, in Savannah. He was born on September 24, 1943, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Arnold and Ruth Shroder Jacobowitz. Mr. Jacobowitz was of the Jewish faith. He moved to Savannah to work at Gavilon Fertilizer as Vice-President of Chartering, and later to The Landings with his wife. He enjoyed golf, travel, building new friendships, and having his grandchildren visit, which was very important to him.

Surviving is his wife of 21 years, Jeannie Lumazza, his three children, Robin Jacobowitz (Michael Sweeney), Leslie Jacobowitz, and Julie Kelly (Jeannie), his two stepchildren, Richard Lumazza (Kelly Hagan), and Julie White, and his sister, Bonnie Lieberman (Paul). Also surviving are his eleven grandchildren, Brian, Jonah, Tayech, Tabech, Kayla, Benjamin, Phoebe, Alexa, Addisyn, Brooke, Mia, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at a later date.

Remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416, or a charity of your choice.
