Jones, Paul D. - of Birch Run, age 83, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Monday, March 31, 2025, at 11AM at Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Church - 12157 Church St, Birch Run. Burial to follow in Cook Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, and on Monday at Church from 10AM until the time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Paul was born on July 30, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas, Paul lived a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He resided in Birch Run, Michigan, where he was an active member of the community. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Paul served his country honorably in active duty from 1960-1964 and as a Navy SEABEES from 1964-1966 and 1982-1992. His dedication to service extended into his professional life, where he spent many years in skilled trades at General Motors, contributing his talents to the automotive industry.
On August 1st,1964 Paul married Susan (Klein) Jones, she preceded him in passing in 2003. Then on March 5, 2004, Paul married Janice Stein, creating a partnership filled with joy and companionship. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home where family values were at the forefront. Paul was deeply devoted to his family; he delighted in his role as a grandpa and looked fondly upon his title of "Gigi Pa." Paul was a man of many passions. He was a member of Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Church and actively participated in local organizations, including the Clio Eagles and the American Legion in Birch Run. Whether on the golf course, out fishing, hunting in the great outdoors, or sharing stories over a cold drink with friends, Paul embraced life with enthusiasm and a smile.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Jan Jones; Children: Tamara (Terry) Engelhardt, Matt (Angie) Jones, Shelly Anderson, Robb Hadsall, Shaun (Karen) Hadsall; Grandchildren: Lee (Christine) Engelhardt, Luke (Keely) Engelhardt, Rian (Zach) Dufty, Hunter Anderson, Kayla (Zach) Walsh, Sloan (Varonica) Hadsall, Chase (Piercyn) Hadsall, Jade (Steve) Brenan, Jordan (Danny) Reinbold, Brandon (Sara) Nurato, Daniel (Kiley) Nurato, and Alyssa (Nick) Richards; He was blessed with 23 great grandchildren; Sisters: Yvonne and Jerita; Sister-In-Laws: Kathy (Tim), Sonny (Mike), and Marlene (Steve); Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Paul and Virginia Jones; Grandson, Justin Smith; First wife, Susan Jones; Sister, Joann; Brother-In-Law, Ray.
