Abbeville-Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Paul Oneil LeBlanc, 72, who passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Byron J. Soley officiating the services.
Paul was a 1972 graduate of Meaux High School. He then enlisted in the Army National Guard where he served a total of 9 years. He was employed with DeHart Shipyard for over 28 years there he painted, sandblasted, and welded on various materials. Later he moved on to work at Riviana Rice Mill until they were bought out. He retired after 10 years with Station Offshore where he cleaned and refurbished units.
Paul was an avid hunter. He loved to hunt duck, dove, turkey, and always waiting for that 10-point buck to come in site.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Bernard LeBlanc; son, Christopher LeBlanc of Washington, D.C; daughter, Dana Primeaux and her husband, Sam of Abbeville; grandchildren, Ava Rose Primeaux and Max LeBlanc; brother, Anthony LeBlanc of Houston, TX; and sister, Mary Beth Parker of Mauriceville, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy "Black" LeBlanc and the former Elizabeth "Tootsie" Duhon; brother, David LeBlanc; and daughter-in-law, Penny Chen LeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM ; Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
