Sandra had a love of crafting and creating beauty and art both in the flower shop and at home-bows, jewelry, hair pieces and flower arrangement, especially bridal bouquets. Jim's Flowers was an icon of Abbeville and they provided bridal and funeral arrangements for over two decades. She loved sewing, needlepointing, crocheting, and drawing. She drew nature scenes, wildlife, Cajun houses/cabins, and even designed and drew her own house plans.

She loved genealogy and worked for almost two decades on both the Trahan, LeBouef, and Townley families tracing their lineage back to the 16th century. Sandra also taught herself foreign languages as part of her genealogy research and learned to read German, French, and Spanish. She was an avid reader and life long learner. She was a secretary for Charles and Frank Godcaux at Riviana Rice Mill after graduation and then became the owner/operator of Jim's Flowers along with her husband.

Sandra was married to the love of her life, James LeBouef for 65 years. She cherished her husband and they worked side by side from 1966 until they retired in 1992. Once retired, she indulged in her love of travel and saw most of the lower 48. They bought property on the banks of Toledo Bend in 1982, and it quickly became their "favorite place". They both considered their time at "The lake" as the best years of their life - riding four wheelers, exploring the land, searching for driftwood and drinking in the nature's beauty. They built a home and moved to the Lake in 1990 where they remained for twenty years before returning to Abbeville to be closer to family due to her failing health.

Family was the center of her life. She adored her daughter Christine, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She also considered the Bellaire's and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as family, spending weekends, vacations, and family celebrations together.

Sandra is survived by her husband James "Jim" LeBouef; daughter, Christine Townley and her husband Gregory; grandson, Preston Townley and his wife Candace; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Townley, Daylan Hebert, Kasey Townley, Christian Townley, Elizabeth Townley, Carson Touchet, Charli Miller, Cannon Miller, and Cayden Miller; great-great-grandchildren, Kash, Kyah, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, Francis Trahan and the Former Pearl Bourgeois; brother, Larry Trahan; granddaughter, Jennifer Townley; great-grandson, Keb Townley; and nephews, Marshall and Scott Trahan.
