Paul Dennis McCarthey was born on Nov. 30, 1954, in Germany and passed on Oct. 30, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.
Paul proudly served in the US Navy. After his time spent in the military, he was a firefighter for the Kerrville Fire Dept. He was the owner and operator of Paul's Carpet Service for over 35 years in Colorado. During his retirement years, Paul put his woodworking skills to use and worked for Quality Patio Furniture in Kerrville.
Paul married the love of his life, Cindy Maddox on Oct 06, 1978, in Kerrville. They built a beautiful life together. He loved the time spent with his family and friends.
He had a love of the outdoors; he could be seen cruising the highways and small-town roads on his motorcycle or fishing on the Guadalupe River. Another favorite past time for Paul was watching classic movies, especially The Wizard of Oz. He enjoyed a good comedy on the TV and watching the Denver Broncos.
Preceded in death by his mother, Adaline Weathers and father, Raymond McCarthey; siblings, Joe, Don and Mike McCarthy and Darryl Weathers.
Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Cindy McCarthey; children, Lori Lane, Trey (Laura), Chase and Joshua (Autumn) McCarthey; grandchildren, Eric, Michael, Alexa, Matthew, Raleigh, and Diesel; siblings, Sandy, Patti, Mary and Mark.
