Paul E. McNany, 80, of Crawford Corners Road, Emlenton, Scrubgrass Twp., Venango Co., passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville.
Paul was born in Emlenton on October 28, 1944. He was the son of the late Charles R. and Sara Milford McNany.
He attended Emlenton High School and had served in the U.S. Air Force in the 1960s.
Paul raised his family in Parker before moving to Emlenton in the 1990s.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Louise M. Blymiller McNany, whom he married in Parker on February 16, 1963.
He had been self-employed as a mechanic and truck driver.
Paul enjoyed working on cars, trucking, and hunting with his boys and grandkids. He loved going to bear camp and cooking bear camp breakfasts for everyone. He loved Steelers football, and later in life, farming. Paul enjoyed trips to the casino with his wife, as well as horse racing with his two horses. His CB handle was "Cooter" and later on people referred to him as "Cheeks."
Surviving are three sons, Gregory K. McNany and his wife, Laurie, of Emlenton, Bradley P. McNany and his wife, Lindsay, of Parker, and Christopher M. McNany and his wife, Lacey, of Emlenton; a daughter-in-law, Lynna McNany of Barkeyville; twelve grandchildren, Kenton, Ashton, Amanda, Matthew, Ty, Kasey, Adeley, Keagan, Bradley, Lauren, Cami and Kaiden; eight great grandchildren, Hayden, Brant, Jessa, Conor, Emerson, Sara, McKenna and Oakleigh, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his wife and parents, was preceded in death by a son, Douglas McNany, his brothers, Harold, Russell, and Ellis McNany, and a sister, Shirley Nevel.
A graveside memorial service officiated by the Rev. Dennis Barger, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Scrubgrass Stone Church Cemetery. Interment will follow with military honors accorded by members of the Parker VFW and American Legion Posts. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parker VFW Post #7073, 214 N. River Ave., Parker, PA 16049. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home Inc., Emlenton. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
