Paul Eugene Partezana, affectionately known as "Gene," passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by his loving family.
Gene was born on November 3, 1934, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Paul L. and Alberta W. Partezana. A 1953 graduate of Burris High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. On June 3, 1960, he married the love of his life, Donna Arbogast. Together, they shared nearly 65 years of marriage and built a life filled with family, laughter, love and sports.
Throughout his life, Gene wore many hats and answered to many names-Paul, Gene, "Party," Coach, and even the "Mayor of Westport Addition." He began coaching basketball at the Muncie YMCA while still in high school and went on to mentor hundreds of young athletes in basketball, baseball, and softball-especially cherishing the times he coached his sons and granddaughter.
Gene was also a proud union cement mason, working in the trade for over 60 years. His coworkers lovingly nicknamed him "Party," a reflection of his warm spirit, dedication, and camaraderie on the job. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time at the lake, playing golf, tending to his garden, and following his grandchilden's and great grandchildren's academic and athletic achievements.
Above all, Gene loved his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Partezana; his sister, Daphne Miller of Sarasota, FL; children: Candy Bildilli of Glendale, AZ; Teresa (Manuel) Hinojos of Keller, TX; Paul (Stacia) Partezana; and Tony (Jana) Partezana; grandchildren: Anson Shull, Michael (Terri) Hinojos of Fort Worth, TX; Daniel Hinojos of Dallas, TX; and Taylor Partezana of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Kylie Hinojos of Fort Worth, TX; and nephew, Keith (Diana) Miller, Parma, OH. Gene was proceeded in death by his parents, Paul L. and Alberta W. Partezana; granddaughter Michelle Danielle Hinojos; niece Lisa Miller; son-in-law Don Bildilli.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Meeks Mortuary, Washington St., Chapel, 415 East Washington St., Muncie, IN, 47305. Friends and family may call from 12 PM until time of service on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory Washington St Chapel and online condolences may be left for the family at www.meeksmortuary.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis or Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) of Muncie, Indiana.

Gene was just a super guy and great dad and coach. All of guys playing with Paul and Tony were so fortunate to have Gene as a father/ coach.
One time in hs baseball game our coaches got thrown out of a game and the rules stated we had to have a coach in dugout.
We got Gene out of the bleachers to coach and it was like little league revisited.
We won the game and Gene was 1-0 as a hs baseball coach.
The entire Partezana family is like family to me and I was very fortunate to grow up with them and have Gene in my life.
Love you all
