Paul A. Price Jr, "Junior", 74, of rural Fall Creek, passed away early Monday morning Jan. 30, 2023, at the Augusta Health and Rehabilitation following a nearly 2 year battle with a rare illness. He had recently entered the nursing home and when he passed away he was surrounded by his wife and family and in St. Croix Hospice Care.
Paul Arthur Price was born November 18, 1948, the son of Paul and Elizabeth "Betty" (Travis) Price. He was raised in Augusta with his 4 siblings, attended school in Augusta, graduating from Augusta High School in 1967.
Following his graduation he moved to Milwaukee where his brother Jim lived and there he was employed by a tree trimming and removal service. After 3 years he moved back to Augusta and on Sept. 14, 1970, he started his 41 years of employment with Phoenix Steel which became PDM and eventually Veritas Steel. He started with the company as a welder and for 21 years he transported the steel structures that at times were nearly 150 feet long. When he retired he was working as a foreman.
Paul was united in marriage to Jeannine West on March 30, 1973, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. The couple lived for a time in Augusta before moving to Seymour Township, rural Eau Claire. In 1979 they moved to their current home in Lincoln Township. In addition to raising their own 5 children, they were also loving foster parents to 14 children.
If you knew Paul you knew of his love for hunting deer and bear in Wisconsin. He purchased 40 acres just east of Augusta and with that the "Back 40 Hunting Bunch" was formed. Many enjoyable hours were spent there with his family and friends. He was a life long member of the N.R.A. and passed down his hunting safety and reloading knowledge to young hunters. He had been a member of a local Cowboy Club that put on cowboy shows around the area complete with old western attire and guns.
In his home you could often find him watching Fox News or Gunsmoke and on weekends a good football game.
Paul will be dearly missed by Jeannine, his loving wife of nearly 50 years; 3 daughters, Michelle Peterson, Angela (Gary) Brown and Lori Price: son Wayne Price; grandchildren, Brandon, Beau, Bryce, Baylee, Shyann, Heather, Brooke, Jamie, Alexis, Aaron, Austin, Gracie and Paul; 10 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, James (Betty) Price, Fred Price, Richard (Jamie) Price; sister, Bonnie (Tom) Tompkins; sisters-in-law, Debora West and June West; good friend and nephew Richie Price; long time friends, Pat Moore, Bill and Judy Ferber, Ralph Wathke and the Kurt Grimm family; along with other friends, nieces and nephews to numerous to mention.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul in 1998, Betty in 2008 and daughter Elizabeth "Lisa" Price in 2017.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with spring burial in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta.

I worked with Paul Price at PDM Bridge. I was Foreman on graveyard shift also know as 3rd shift. Me and Paul worked together on projects like Total Station and other coworkers in Palaka, Florida. We worked on the Marquette interchange tub bridge project for Milwaukee,WI.
We had good time and bad times, but we always made it thru it as friends.
