Paul T. Redmon, 80, a beloved figure of warmth and vivacity, left this world on September 13, 2024, in Greenwood, Indiana. Born on May 2, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Paul & Mary Redmon. Paul embodied the spirit of Midwestern charm and dedication throughout his remarkable life. He spent over 34 years as a distinguished salesman for NABISCO in OH & IN, where his larger-than-life personality and unwavering determination earned him the confident title of "the best salesman in the mid-west," a sentiment echoed by all who knew him.

Paul was not just a salesman; he was a man who embraced life’s joys with gusto. His love of the game brought him to Smock Golf Course in Indianapolis, where he worked intermittently. Yet, he always maintained that his time there was not merely work; it was part of his passion for living life outdoors, relishing each moment as if it were a vibrant burst of sunshine on a clear day.

Above all, Paul was a devoted husband, father & Grandfather, whose children were the axis around which his world spun. Patient and proud, he passionately engaged in coaching their baseball, golf, and basketball games, nurturing their spirits with every lesson shared on the field and court. His legacy of love and guidance will resonate in the hearts of his three children forever.

Paul's military service as a Veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard for over 13 years further exemplified his commitment to duty and brotherhood. A man who understood the importance of community, he channeled his energy into helping others, always going the extra mile to uplift those who were less fortunate. While spending winters as a "snowbird" in Sarasota, FL, Paul dedicated five years to working with Habitat for Humanity, an endeavor that brought him great pride and fulfillment. His selflessness extended to participating in mission trips through St. Barnabas Catholic Church, reaching distant corners of the globe—from the warm hills of Guatemala to the spirited communities of Waveland, Mississippi.

Paul’s hobbies encompassed a vibrant tapestry of experiences, from the exhilarating thrill of golf to the serene enjoyment of fishing for walleye and perch in the familiar waters of Lake Erie. Travel was a lifelong passion; he cherished the memories of a memorable family journey out west, where in a simple pop-up camper, the family traveled 5,700 miles in two fleeting weeks—a testament to his unquenchable spirit for adventure.

His warmth, humor, and giving heart made him the "life of the party," a loyal friend, and a cherished member of his community. Paul was a parishioner at St. Francis and Clare Assisi Catholic Church, where his many contributions and spirit of service will be sorely missed.

Paul is survived by his children; Scott (Jennifer) Redmon, Adam Redmon, and Amanda Redmon, Linda; his partner in crime for over 50 years, and the mother of his 3 beautiful children, grandchildren; Abby (Jessup) Russell, Aaron Redmon, Claire Redmon, and Ethan Redmon, along with great-grandson; Hudson. 

Paul is preceded in death by his brother; James Redmon, and sister; Mitcheline Huddle.

Paul T. Redmon is survived by his loving family, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, laughter, and adventure. A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Indianapolis, Indiana. This gathering will offer family and friends a chance to reflect on the extraordinary life Paul led, filled with joy, purpose, and an unwavering love for others. A Celebration of Life will follow on October 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

In the hearts of those he touched, Paul’s spirit will soar, preserved in the laughter shared, the memories created, and the abundant love he instilled in everyone around him.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Paul's honor can be made to Habitat for Humanity or The American Diabetes Association. We will have envelopes available at the funeral home the day of the service.
