Paul E. Rogers, 93, of Bellefonte passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Paul was born on October 8, 1929 in Marion Twp., Centre Co. a son of the late George and Edna Weight Rogers. On August 29, 1953 he married the former Arlene F. (Shivery) Rogers who preceded him in death December 13, 2014. Paul is survived by his children, Sharon Ault of Bellefonte, Terry L. (Cindy) Rogers of Howard, Cathy A. (Danny) Thompson of Bellefonte and Timothy P. (Gloria) Rogers of Howard; he is also survived by his brother, Harold (Pam) Rogers of Bellefonte; his 11 grandchildren, Justin (Jodi) Ault, Katherine Deitrich, Kevin Rogers, Jared (Victoria Wilkes) Thompson, Mandy (Heath Sprout) Thompson, Joshua (Lindsey) Rogers, Eric Rogers, Matthew (Erin) Rogers, and Rachel (Cody) Smith, Ashley Aungst and Corey Aungst and his 12 great grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his 6 brothers, 2 sisters and his son-in-law James Ault.
Paul was a graduate of Howard High School. He was a veteran having served his country in the US Army. Before his retirement he was employed at Cerro Copper and Brass for 45 years. He was a member of Emmanual United Church of Christ in Jacksonville. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and tenting at the Grange Fair.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10 AM – 11 AM at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. with the funeral service to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Cindy Killinger officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Online condolences may be made at www.deankwetzlerfuneralhome.com.
