Paul Weinstein, 84, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. Born on November 12, 1940, in Fort Worth, Paul remained deeply devoted to the city and community that shaped his life.

A proud graduate of Paschal High School, Paul earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1962. He returned home to Fort Worth and became the longtime owner of Weinstein Pharmacy, where he and his amazing staff cared for generations of customers with warmth, integrity, and personal attention. In addition to running his pharmacy, Paul served as a consultant to multiple nursing homes, working diligently to ensure that residents were cared for appropriately and not overmedicated — a reflection of both his professional ethics and his deep compassion.

A respected leader in his field, Paul served as President of the Texas Pharmacy Association in 1991 and was honored in 2004 with the Robert L. Hays Outstanding Consultant Pharmacist Award.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sol and Gertrude Weinstein, and his brother, Jerry Weinstein. He is survived by his cherished wife of 37 years, Judy Walensky Weinstein, and by five sons: David Grabstald of Indianapolis, IN; Darren Grabstald of Plano, TX; Jeffrey and Diana Weinstein of Dallas, TX; Michael Weinstein of Honolulu, HI; and Vincent and Christie Weinstein.

He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Madeline Powell Grabstald; Avery, Jordan, and Ryan Weinstein; Mia and Joaquin Weinstein; and Peyton and Reese Weinstein — and a joyful great-grandfather to Lochland. Paul also shared a close bond with his niece, Leah Saltzman, her husband Phillip, and their daughters Zahava and Meira of Redmond, WA, and with his sister-in-law Cathy Walensky and her partner Larry Rosen of Fort Worth. His extended family, spread across Arizona, California, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas, was central to his life.

Paul was a 50-year Mason, a brother of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity (also known as Sammy) at the University of Oklahoma, and an active member of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth. He was also a longtime member of Congregation Ahavath Shalom in Fort Worth, where he found both community and spiritual connection.

Paul lived a full and vibrant life. He loved golf, deep sea fishing, skiing in Colorado, road trips across the country, and sports of all kinds. His sense of adventure, humor, and warmth brought joy to everyone around him.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers who supported Paul in his final years, especially the teams at The Ridglea in Fort Worth, Overture Home Care, and Gateway Hospice Providers.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 16, in the Kornbleet Memorial Chapel, located in Fort Worth’s Ahavath Sholom Cemetery.

While not required, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Congregation Ahavath Sholom, Jewish Family Services of Fort Worth or Dallas, the Texas Pharmacy Foundation, or a favorite charity of choice.
