Paul Zielinski, age 78, of Midland, MI died on January 4, 2026 at home with his loving wife, Elaine, at his side.
He was born in Buffalo, NY in 1947 to Casimir and Clara Zielinski. He attended school in Buffalo and completed his Bachelor of Science degree at SUNY, Buffalo and then proceeded to receive his Master’s degree from Bowling Green University in Ohio.
Two days after their wedding, Paul and Elaine started their careers with the Midland Public Schools. Paul started the Electronic Program at the newly opened Dow High School. After 6 years of successful teaching and a program that flourished, Paul moved to the Dow Chemical Company where he became involved in many aspects of the company. He retired from Dow in 2004.
Paul was truly a gentle man. He was known for his kind heart, generous nature, easy-going personality, love of electronics, sense of humor, and the ability to fix almost anything. He was a warm and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, and a caring friend who was loved by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife and constant companion, Elaine, sister-in-law, Shirley Dulniak, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a wonderful group of loving and loyal friends.
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his in-laws, Edwin and Estelle Kulczyk and a beloved sister-in-law, Sandra Ginter.
A private memorial will be held by the family. Paul and his family are being cared for by Wilson Miller Funeral Home.
