Paula Christine Garcia was born on September 25, 1986, in San Angelo, Texas, to William Walls and Sherry Morrison. From a young age, Paula showcased her vibrant spirit and vast talents, participating in beauty pageants starting at just nine years old. Her love for performance shone through as she often sang the National Anthem at rodeos in Tulia, Silverton, and many other cherished locations.
A proud graduate of Tulia High School in 2005, Paula's dedication to her education continued at West Texas A&M University, where she earned her associates degree. On September 24, 2005, she married her best friend, Pedro Garcia III, cementing a partnership filled with love and laughter.
Paula's passion for serving others was evident in her work as an EMT for many years, followed by her role as a paramedic at AMR. She also played a significant role in training members of the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting her deep commitment to her community. Paula was a referee for many games and coached little girls' volleyball.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Paula wrote her own book, showcasing her creative talents. She found immense joy in cheering for her children at their sports events, always the proud mom in the stands. She was a warm soul who never met a stranger; rather, she saw friends in everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her husband, Pedro Garcia III of Amarillo; her son, Devlin Garcia and his girlfriend Allyson Mackey of Amarillo; her daughter, Kamlyn Garcia of Amarillo; her parents, Chuck and Sherry Thornton of Tulia, her brother, Dustin Thornton of Amarillo; her sister, Courtney Corrales and husband Joel of Amarillo; her In-Laws, Pedro Garcia, Jr. and wife Dolores of Amarillo; her grandparents, Ramon Mora and wife Norlin; her grandfather, J. Thornton; her sister-in-law, Vanessa Garcia; her aunt, Tennille Graham and husband Daniel; and her fur babies, Achilles, Persephone and Mushu.
