On Friday, December 17, 2021, Paula Carol Skinner, a servant and disciple of Jesus, heard the words she
longed to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your Lord."
Paula was born to Leroy and Janelle Skinner on March 11, 1960. She was a lifelong resident of Marietta,
graduating from Joseph Wheeler High School in 1978 and Kennesaw State University in 1995 with a
degree in Information Systems. Paula was employed at Georgia Tech where she worked in Workplace
Learning and Professional Development using her passion of building bridges between people and
learning.
Not have any children of her own, she showered her nieces and nephews with time, love, and oh so
many gifts. Her heart was very large, and if she saw someone who needed help, she would do whatever
she could to help, even opening her home to give someone a place stay.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Janelle Skinner, her nephew Nathan Skinner, and
her dogs Henry, Piper, and Rocko. She is survived by her brothers, Sam Skinner and David Skinner, her
nieces Katelyn Skinner and Caroline Skinner, a nephew Zachary Skinner and her grandniece Kyleigh
Jones.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
On Tuesday, December 21, there will also be visitation from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Sanctuary Church,
700 Mars Hill Road Kennesaw, GA 30152. A celebration of Paula's life will be held immediately following
visitation at Sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue at
