Paula Wright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Craig Funeral Home on Jun. 3, 2025.
Paula Jean Wright, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 24, 2025, at the age of 76, with her devoted sister, Cynthia Wright Bornemann, by her side.
Born on February 1, 1949, Paula grew up in a loving family that valued laughter, connection, and a good story. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen and Paul Wright; her siblings Glenda Easom, Terry Chojnacki, and Brent Flynn; and her nephew, Michael Easom. While her absence is deeply felt, her memory lives on in those who survive her: her sister Cynthia, and her beloved nieces and nephews Jennifer Bornemann (Stefanie), Lara Mish (Kevin), Sarah Flaman (Todd), and Jason Easom (Kelly); along with her cherished grandnieces and grandnephew Jenna, Lucy, Molly, Annie, Hailey, Andrew, and Kayla.
Paula spent most of her life in the warm sunshine of Florida, calling Tampa, Temple Terrace, Orange Park, and finally St. Augustine home. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: a lively card game, spirited conversations about the latest reality TV episode, listening to Elvis, and rooting for her favorite sports teams, especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Her laugh was contagious, her stories unforgettable, and her heart generous.
Those who knew Paula will remember her warmth, humor, and the unmistakable twinkle in her eye when reminiscing about family adventures and mischievous childhood memories. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved, especially around the card table or a TV tuned to Sunday football.
Her legacy is one of laughter, love, and loyalty, a reminder that a life filled with small joys and strong relationships is a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend a little extra time with your loved ones, share a good laugh, listen to an Elvis song, and maybe even watch an episode of your favorite reality show in Paula's honor.
