Paulina Goins, 97, of Brownsburg, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was born in Dale, IN on August 3, 1928 to the late Monte and Pearl Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Esley Goins, her siblings Ruth (Ed) Kramer and Sharon (Dale) Larsen, sons-in-law Kenny Joyce and Clint Jarrett, daughter-in-law Deloris Goins and granddaughter Susan Booker.
Paulina grew up primarily within southern and central Indiana (following her father's profession), graduating with the Class of 1946 in Clayton, IN. She married Esley Goins September 20, 1947.
She is described as the, “Best Mom” by her 6 children. Paulina was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir (and solo) and went on a meaningful and memorable mission trip. She immensely enjoyed playing board games, accumulating angels and “collecting kisses”. She loved meeting people, and would only say goodbye to family and friends after providing them with hugs, kisses and a prayer.
Paulina is survived by her six children and their families; Jon (Sandy) Goins of Dickinson, TX, Jimmy Goins of Brownsburg, IN, Judy Jarret of Brownsburg, Jerry (Rhonda) Goins of Rockport, TX, Jackie (Kelly) Clifford of Avon, IN and Joannie (Lorne) Pickens of Lizton, IN; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 Great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will celebrate Paulina’s life in a private ceremony. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Clayton Cemetery.
