Miley, Pauline Elizabeth (Giovannini)

Pauline Elizabeth Miley entered into eternal life August 27, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born in Hartford on March 17, 1937. Pauline was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Miley (1993) and was a long-time resident of East Hartford Connecticut and Bonita Springs, Florida, before recently moving to Lakeside Senior Living on Amelia Island, Florida.

Pauline was adored and loved for many of her later years by the late Don Denley Sr. of Manchester, Connecticut.

Pauline was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Pauline was a faithful member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, Estero, Florida. She loved music and singing and was a member of the church choir. Pauline delighted in entertaining her large family at summer barbecues and holidays. She was a creative knitter and crocheter, enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sharing a good beach day with her twin sister, Patricia. They also shared a passion for shopping and finding a great bargain. She had a competitive streak that was legendary when playing Scrabble and cards, which she relished with everyone.

Pauline grew up in Manchester and was the daughter of the late Rosalia (Martina) and Louis Giovannini and sister to her late brothers Ector and John Giovannini.

Pauline is survived by her beloved twin sister and best friend, Patricia Holmes of Manchester. She found joy in her family and raised six daughters: Janet Pagoni, husband Robert of Florida, Paula Sturgess, husband David of South Carolina, Donna Miley and Corinne Nocida, husband Nicholas both of Connecticut and the late Michelle Miley (Rotundo), the late Gail Miley both of New Hampshire. Pauline also leaves behind seven loving grandchildren, Lauren Pagoni, husband Robert Shmerling of CA, Kathryn Pagoni, husband Daniel Meehan of VA, Alexandra Pagoni of CT, Mark Chalker, his wife Jennifer (Provencher) of CT, Elizabeth Chalker of NC, Amber Clark, husband Benjamin Poland of NH and Cole Nocida of CT. Pauline also leaves six great-grandchildren who were all her pride and joy, Lucy, Stella, Nicolas, Autumn, Easton and Jameson as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join the family for calling hours on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Church, 896 Main St, Manchester, CT on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
