Pauline Garcia Cortez-Potter of Farmington, NM, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 16th, 2024, at the age of 95. Pauline was born on January 25th, 1929, in Walsenburg, Colorado.

Pauline married her late husband Richard E. Cortez-Potter on August 11th, 1948, and began their family in Farmington. As a member of the Legion of Mary with Sacred Heart Catholic Church for several years, she grew and spread her faith through prayer.

Pauline loved spending time outside tending to her flowers and garden beds. She always anticipated the spring sprouting of her favorite hollyhock flowers. Pauline loved to pass the time and play cards, specifically rummy.

Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Cortez-Potter and son Patrick A. Cortez. Pauline is survived by her children, Donna (Jimmy) Torres, Richard Gregory Cortez, Georgia Cortez (Phillip Mike Padilla), Jack (Lorena) Cortez, Caroline (Mike) Sanchez. Pauline is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Three Rivers Estates Memory Care Center and Visiting Angels Home Heath Care for the care of Pauline in her later years.

A Rosary will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (410 N. Allen Ave.) on April 23rd, 2024 at 9:30 am with a Funeral Mass to follow. An Interment at Memory Gardens will follow immediately after the mass. The family will host a reception after the internment at the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish.
