Pearlie McNeil Obituary
Pearlie Lee McNeil was born on January 18, 1934, in Palmetto, Florida, to the late Otis James and Dorothy Lee Miller.
She answered her Savior's call to come home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to higher grounds. She took wings like a dove and flew home to rest from this weary world.
She attended school in the Manatee County school system.
Pearlie was converted at St. John Baptist Church at an early age, and she sang in the choir. She enjoyed baking and doing crafts at home, and she was called the picture lady because of her love of photography.
She was preceded in death by her father, Otis James; mother, Dorothy Miller; sisters, Willie Mae Cole, Ann Newton, Susie Mae Mavin, and Ruth Ann Wilson; brother, Otis James, Jr.; daughter, Sheila McNeil; and grandson, Ricky McNeil.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Katie Wright; two sons, Robert Nathaniel McNeil and Glenn Leroy McNeil; sisters, Doris Griffin, Janett Strong, Bernice James, and Diane James; one brother, James Anderson; grandsons, Michael McNeil, Milton Thomas, Gerald Brown, Robert McNeil, Jr., Patrick McNeil, Eric McNeil, Glen McNeil, Jr.; granddaughters, Laverne Lopez, Pearl McNeil, Danielle McNeil, Jennifer Bacon, Lotetha McNeil-Thompson; and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
