Peggy Fountain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scott Funeral Home on Dec. 3, 2025.
Peggy Sue Fountain, born April 23, 1958, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Clark Memorial Hospital. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, Peggy lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

A retired registered nurse, Peggy dedicated her life to caring for others. Her gentle presence, calming voice, and genuine empathy brought comfort to countless patients and families throughout her career. Beyond her work, Peggy found joy in music, family gatherings, and the everyday moments shared with those she loved most. Her laughter, warmth, and open-hearted spirit created memories that will forever live on in the hearts of her family.

Peggy is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy Cruse; her children, Charles V. Cruse (Misty Cardwell) and Donna Cruse; her daughter-in-law, Megan Williams; her sisters, Tina Lawson (Doug) and Jenine Och (Charles); her beloved grandchildren, Andre's Cruse, Peter Cruse, Jordan Williams, Colton Bowers, Benjamin Carter, and Coryon Mitchell; and her adored great-grandchildren, Ziggy, Aries, and Bellemy Cruse. Each of them carries her legacy in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael, and her brother, Tony Cruse. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the kindness she showed will continue to shine brightly through those whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peggy's life during visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery.

Peggy Sue Fountain will forever be remembered for her generous spirit, her loving heart, and the beautiful light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
