Peggy was born on June 2, 1949, in Dickson County, TN to the late Robert Cook and Clattie Marie Christy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jessie Paul Henry, Jr. and brother James "Jimmy" Cook, Bobby Cook and Steve Cook. She is survived by her loving husband, Jessie Henry, Sr.; sons, Robert Edward Henry, David Lee (Jennifer) Henry, Johnny Ray (Melody) Henry, Sr., Larry Joe Henry; brothers, Johnny Cook, Randy Cook, Charles Cook, Dennis Cook, Larry Cook; sisters, Mary Henry, Barbara Carney; grandchildren, Jenny Lynn Henry, Ashley (James) Ard, Johnny Henry, Jr., Kevin (Makiya) Henry, Georgia Henry, Jacob (Selena) Henry, Dillon, Christian; great grandchildren, Amayia Smith, Johnny Ray Henry III, James Cole Ard and Ila Rose Henry.
Peggy was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. She was a God-fearing woman and loved her family very much. She knew not a stranger, because everyone was family to Peggy, and she would give you the shirt off her back. She loved dancing, music, bingo, Wheel of Fortune, crossword puzzles and scratch off tickets. She will be dearly missed by all and forever remembered.
Pallbearers will be David Henry, Larry Joe Henry, Johnny Cook, Larry Cook, Randy Cook, Danny Scales, Dakota Peden and Jonathan Peden.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 5,2023 at 11:00 AM at Boyd Funeral Home with Jenny Henry officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
