In Loving Memory of
Peggy Marie Kelly
July 21, 1934 – October 28, 2025
Peggy Marie (Evans) Kelly was born on July 21, 1934 to Alfred Bly Evans and Phariba Ida (Nelson) Evans. She was born in a house just north of Board Church in Comanche County, Texas. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025 in Boerne, Texas.
While living with her family in Wolfforth, Texas, she met Lawrence Joseph Kelly who was stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock. Shortly afterwards, they were married in Hobbs, New Mexico on October 17, 1954 just prior to his deployment to Korea. After his return, they started a loving family and over the next several years had four children; Michael, Steven, Brenda, and Patrick. She dedicated her life to her family and was best known for her caring, sweet, and loving demeanor. She was Mom, Mawee, Grandma, and Mama Kelly, and was loved by all who knew her. Her favorite weekend of the year was the weekend of the Evans family reunion. She loved being with her family, visiting and sharing stories with all during those times. She loved games such as playing marbles, dominoes, and nickel/dime poker with family and friends
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dwaine, Rusty, and Dan, sister Wilma, daughter Brenda, and her husband of 53 years, 'Kelly.' She is survived by her children, Mike and Lonna Kelly of Georgetown, Texas; Steve Kelly of Portland, Texas; Pat and Julie Kelly of Boerne, Texas; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her siblings, Jack, Blake, Nancy, and Rick.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. The joy and happiness she brought to any room will be missed so much by so many.
1 Peter 5:10
'Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong.'
Isaiah 41:10
'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.'
Matthew 11:28-30
'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.'
