Peggy Lorean Taylor Reed, age 87, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Reed was born in Manchester, TN, to her late parents George Wesley Taylor and Lillie Mae Ritchie Taylor. She was a homemaker all of her life and ultimately retired from many years of working hard on the farm. Mrs. Reed was a servant of the Lord and loved her church family at New Hope Baptist Church. She was a praying woman and read through her Bible several times throughout her life. Mrs. Reed loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed caring for her family and loved Sunday dinners where she cooked many delicious meals for her family. Before her husband of 68 years, Howard Reed, passed away, she enjoyed sitting with him on their front porch, swinging and listening to the birds sing. Anyone that met Mrs. Reed loved her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard Douglas Reed Jr.; brothers, Barney G. Taylor, Ivan P. Taylor, John W. Taylor Sr.; sisters, Berdean C. Faulkner, Naomi J. Taylor, Dorothy L. Freeze, Edith G. Finchum, Sadie Esther "Penny" Reed, and Margaret Bush.

Mrs. Reed is survived by sons, Mark Edward Reed (Josie) and Robert Lee Reed (Donna); daughters, Cathy Reed Milcher and Christie Reed Beaty (Jason); sisters, Linda M. Reed; grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Joey, Danielle, Christopher, Dalton, Brittany, Mac, Ben, Jack, Mae, Ethan, Lucas, and Seth; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
