Peggy Louise Robertson

Peggy Louise (High) Robertson was born on April 28, 1928 in Keokuk, Iowa. Her father was John E. High and mother was Nina (Brown) High. She died peacefully in her home on July 9, 2025, at 97 years of age. Peg could certainly say "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith " (Timothy 4: 7-8).
Peggy was united in marriage to Jack C. Robertson on August 5, 1955. She is survived by her two sons, John Robertson of Springfield, MO. And Gene Robertson, also of Springfield.
As a dedicated Christian, Peggy served her Lord in many ways. She was a long-time member of Kings Church in Springfield. She also enjoyed attending an interdenominational women's bible study/prayer group for over 50 years. She loved studying God's Word, and was a strong woman of prayer.
Peggy was civic minded and kept up to date on local and national issues. She took voting very seriously and made sure that she voted absentee, if needed.
She was a lady of many talents and interests. She was a devoted fan of the Cardinals Baseball team and often offered them "advice" as she watched their games on television.
She loved classical music and pretty flowers.
When Peggy was younger, she enjoyed being an aide for children at Holland Elementary School.
Most of all, Peggy will be remembered as a loving mother and a very dear and faithful friend to many.
She is now safe and well with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in heaven.
Some verses in Proverbs 31: 29-31 describes Peg very well:
Vs. 29 Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.
Vs 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
Vs 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.
