Peggy Osteen Taylor

Peggy Osteen Taylor, age 70, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 7th, 2023. Peggy was born on January 26th, 1953, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She was the second of five children born to the late Dan and Mary Osteen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Gary; her brothers, Danny and his wife Evelyn, Dennis and his wife Neteida, and Ashley and his wife Amy; her sister, Brenda and her husband Buddy; two step children, Phillip and his wife Lorey and Bridgette and her husband Scott; four grandchildren, Olivia, Merritt, Sierra and Ryker; and several nieces and nephews, Kasi, Adalyn, Cassie, Brooke, Genesis, Bryan, Adam, Danielle, Rick, Amber and Zach.
Peggy was an active member at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville for 40 years and shared her faith with those around her. After graduating from West Henderson High School, she worked at GE Lighting for 35 years. Upon retiring from GE, she gained employment at Flat Rock Fitness Center, where she met her best friend, Jinx.
During her life, Peggy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was a fitness enthusiast, enjoyed camping, listening to her husband's bluegrass band (The Muley Holler Gang), shopping and taking walks with their beloved dog, Chelsea, whom they had 14 ½ wonderful years with.
Peggy had a kind and generous heart, always putting others before herself. She was a prayer warrior for those she loved, walking strong in biblical truth, and loved with God's grace.
A visitation will be held at Hendersonville First Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.
