Peggy Ann Whitacre, 86, passed away on August 30, 2025 in Bethany, Oklahoma. She was born May 1, 1939 to Alfred Karl Whitacre, Sr, and Margaret Ada (Stadler) Whitacre in Kansas City, Missouri. She retired from AAA as an Executive Secretary after many years of service.
Peggy graduated from high school in 1957 at John Marshall in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed many types of sewing including clothing, knitting, crocheting, needle point and especially quilting. She loved animals and over the years, gave a loving home to many animals, particularly a great number of dogs and cats.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alfred Karl Whitacre, Jr.; and son, Jimmy Lyle Everett.
She is survived by her son, Rusty Lee Everett; grandson, Sean Michael Everett; grandson, Kyle Daniel Everett; great-grandson, Logan Giovanni Everett; sister, Linda Wright; nephew, Peter Wright; nephew, Steven Whitacre; niece, Kimberly Power; and niece; Anne Power.
A Graveside farewell will be held on Monday, September 8, 12:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK.
