Vienna – Peggysue Wrightsman, 65, passed away Thursday evening, October 3, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland.
Peggysue was born on October 23, 1958 in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late Ray Charles Sr. and Genevieve May Wrightsman.
She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and continued her education receiving her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Youngstown State University. She worked as an accountant at Premier Hydraulics in Farrell, PA.
She loved spending time with friends and family, especially having a girl’s weekend at Geneva and Sanibel. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, and collecting clown figures. As an animal lover, she always had a dog.
Peggysue will be deeply missed by her partner, Mark Teagarden; siblings, Ray (Barbara) Wrightsman Jr., James (Karen) Wrightsman, Heather (Jason Keene) Wrightsman, Brandee (Jeremy) Hollingsworth, Gregory Wrightsman, and Krista (Aarin) Smith; nieces and nephews, Jamie, Rebecca, Ryan, Mathew, Liam, Alora, and Justin; and her dog, Gizmo.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wrightsman; and niece Jessica.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 11:30am at Bazetta Christian Church, located at 4131 Hoagland Blackstub Rd Cortland.
Burial will take place Sunday November 24, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Oakland, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Angels for Animals in Peggysue’s memory.
Arrangements were entrusted with Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
