Penny M. (Billingham) Fahey, 80, a resident of Easton for the past 53 years passed away on November 19, 2025. She was the loving wife of James R. Fahey for 57 years.
Born in Boston, a daughter of the late William G. and M. Josephine (Foley) Billingham, she was raised in Milton and was a graduate of St. Gregory High School in Dorchester.
Penny continued her educational studies at Stonehill College in Easton where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Education.
Penny began her working career as a teacher for the Boston Public Schools teaching junior high and high school. Penny stepped away from teaching to raise her family for many years. An avid cook, she was known for her passion for cooking and her homemade Irish Bread that she loved to bring to family & friends everywhere. She turned that love for cooking into Creative Catering company with friends from Easton for many years. When her children had grown, she returned to teaching at Mount Alvernia Academy in Chestnut Hill where she retired from.
As an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Easton, she served as past president of the Parish Council.
Penny enjoyed traveling to Europe and visiting numerous countries. Most important to her was time spent with her family and friends which she treasured.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her children, Craig Fahey and his wife Mary of Milford, Christopher Fahey and his wife Erin of Attleboro and Rebecca O'Connell and her husband Raymond of Easton; a sister, Stephanie Billingham of Easton; eight grandchildren, Connor, Bridget, Madaileine, Sydney, Ryan, Lauren, Aidan and Colleen; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
