Penny Maestas, age 80, of Dallas, Texas departed this on May 28, 2025. She was the daughter of Joe Vertucci and Trenna Schultz, born to them on July 23, 1944, in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Maestas; daughter, Sharon Meska; son, Vincent Maestas, and granddaughter, Bretnee Don Blankenship.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Jim Randolph and wife Vickie; and one daughter, Celina Maestas; siblings, Pat Urbanski and husband Joe, Teena Marks and husband Jeff, Chip Vertucci and wife Tonya, and Phyllis Vertucci; grandchildren, Dafanee Pritchett and husband Blake, Joey Randolph and wife Jessica, Christy Velez and husband Tommy, Treena Neely and husband Jared, Christopher Price and wife Allie, Kristen and wife Cristine Maestas, Tristan McMillan, Jason Lesly, Micheal Lesly, and Jasmine Lesly, Vincent Maestas Jr, Victorian Maestas, Brittany Maestas; great-grandkids, Trey Ward and wife Olivia, Adysen Crabtree, Abigail Floyd, Dylan Randolph, Dallas Chase, Landen Pritchett, Brayden Price, Alex Lesly, Ava Ferguson, Avery Ferguson, Alivia Randolph, Courtney Neely, Cailey Neely, Levi Thomas, Austin Velez, Elijah Salazar, LeAndria Perry; great-great grandchildren, Jersi Newman, Adley Jo Whitworth, Nolan Ward, and Rowan Ward.
Penny was a housewife. She enjoyed going to play bingo nearly every night and always making new friends every time. Her dogs, Sofie, Trixie and Kal-El were so spoiled, they were her furbabies, which she always had to check on even if only gone for 10 minutes. Mom loved all her children, especially her great-great grandbabies. When at the store she always wanted to buy candy for all of them and herself she loved telling stories about people of the past, remembering Bernie as she would kiss his picture and say, "I love and miss you."
Those serving as casket bearers include Jim Randolph, Joey Randolph, Blake Pritchett, Chris Price, Trey Ward, and Omar Zendejas. Honorary bearers will be Jason Lesly, Michael Lesly, and Tristan McMillan.
