Percy P. Roberts

Percy Purnell Roberts, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Hartford, Connecticut, on November 10, 2025. He was cared for by family and loved ones until his final moments.
Born and raised in Hartford, Percy attended Weaver High School, graduating with the Class of 1987. During his early years, he worked alongside his father at Charlie's A1 Gas Station, where he developed a lifelong love for cars and craftsmanship. Percy later dedicated more than 21 years of service to the Hartford Courant, where his strong work ethic and good humor made him a valued team member.
Percy's passion in life was detailing and repairing cars, electronics as well as cleaning jewelry and bringing new shine to the things-and people-around him. He had a natural gift for laughter, often filling a room with joy the moment he walked in. Those who knew him best will remember his kindness, his quick wit, and his generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charlie Cal Roberts, Sr., and Martharine Roberts.
Percy leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Mario Roberts,, and Charlie Roberts, (Sharon); four sisters, Jacqueline Roberts, Glenda Roberts, Glynis Roberts, and Cetremia Roberts; three nephews, Charlie Roberts III, Dante Roberts, Donnell Buchanon; three nieces, Donesha Stencil, Ashley Roberts and Amber Charles; one great-nephew, Ashtain Roberts; and one great-niece, Ashanti Murphy. He will be deeply missed by his friends, Uncles, Aunts, cousins, from Georgia and in Connecticut, who knew and loved him.
Percy's family and friends will forever remember his lighthearted spirit, his skillful hands, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. His laughter, like his love, will echo in our hearts always.
The family will receive relatives and friends on November 25 at The Lodge on 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor. Viewing is at 10 a.m., followed by the Homegoing service at 11 am. The Burial will be at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT.
