Pernie Cleo Moser was born on August 16, 1927 in Paradise, Texas to the late Pasteen Kennedy Carter and John Carter. She went to be with her heavenly father on December 19, 2024 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 97.
Pernie was a graduate of Paradise High School. She met Fred Elton Moser who was set to leave for WWII as a soldier in the United States Army. Fred said it was love at first sight. Pernie communicated with Fred faithfully with letters every day until he returned. Three days after his return they were married. She was a loving homemaker, wife and mother. She was active in the PTA at her children’s school and was a Girl Scout Leader. She was a devoted member of Legacy Church of Christ. She was embodied the fruits of spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. She was the gentle woman and never had angry words. She loved beautiful things and gardening and planting flowers was her way of creating beauty in this world. She was generous and was truly a classy lady. She was also very fun and enjoyed the holidays with her family. She liked playing games such as spades or dominoes, and she rarely missed a function to see the grandchildren and great grandchildren including concerts, sporting events and school activities. She also enjoyed cooking and baking as well as sewing and crafting. Before the passing of her husband and longtime sweetheart in 2007, their daughter, Judy moved in with her parents. They spent everyday together having so much fun going most everywhere as a mother-daughter duo. They prayed everyday and were both so thankful for each other and their many blessings. She gave the best hugs and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 60 years, Fred E. Moser; son, Michael Fred Moser; sister-in-law, Mitzi Brown; nephew, Clint Brown; and niece, Laura Brown.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Moser of Hurst; granddaughters, Kandice Moser of Hurst and Shaela Ward of Frisco; great grandchildren, Gabriel Saldana, Jaden Moser, Shaelyn Ward, and Braxton Ward; brothers, Dwyatt Brown and wife, Joan of Bridgeport; and Beau Brown also of Bridgeport; nephew, Joey Brown; numerous great nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 31, 2024 followed by the funeral service at 11:30 A.M. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment will then follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
