Perry L. Myers, 65, of Huntington, Indiana passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, surrounded by family at Coventry Meadows. Born August 23, 1959, in Andrews, Indiana he was the son of the late Paul and Norma (Laymon) Myers.
He graduated from Huntington North High School with the Class of 1977 and attended Depuy Electrical Engineering School. On November 21, 1998, he married Kim Frank in Huntington, Indiana. He was a member of Central Christian Church and Andrews Lion Club.
Perry had an expansive career. He worked at Radio Shack in Columbus, Ohio from 1977- 1979, and from 1979 - 1980, at Diehl Machines in Wabash, Indiana. Perry was also employed at United Technologies in Wabash, Indiana as an electronic technician from 1980 -1990. In the early 1990's Perry worked with John Harshbarger installing and servicing antenna systems and Western Wheel Foundry in Huntington, Indiana as a maintenance supervisor. For around 10 years, in the late 1990's and early 2000's he worked for Wabash Technologies in Huntington, Indiana. For around five years Perry was employed at Adaptec Systems in Huntertown, Indiana as an electrical engineer. Along with construction, Perry enjoyed helping others with home repairs and building or fixing computers for them as well. Old cars were his passion. He always wanted to get an old car or truck to rebuild.
Perry is survived by his wife, Kim Myers; children, Christopher Wilhelm and Kara (Larry) Hine; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; aunt, Helen Merryman; mother-in-law, Carol Hinton; cousins, Susan (Mike) Frantz and Dave Stouder; brother-in-law, Tim (Betty) Frank; and his best friend, John Harshbarger.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with visitation starting at 10:00 am at Central Christian Church, 500 Macgahan St, Huntington, IN 46750.
