Dear brother of Orfeus (Eleni) Chronopoulos and Helen (Evans) Vasilakos. Loving uncle and great uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Pete was born in the village of Zevgolatio Messinia, Greece in 1937 to the late Anastasios and Christina Chronopoulos, where he grew up with his siblings. He immigrated to the United States in 1958. Pete worked as a waiter in Chicago at many restaurants, and in 1978, he moved to California and went on to become a proud restaurant owner. Pete lived there for 25 years before returning to Chicago to be nearer to family. Truly devoted to his family, Pete made everyone laugh and was generous to all. Pete lived a long, blessed life. He was adored by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May his memory be eternal.
Visitation Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 West Winona Street, Chicago with funeral service immediately to follow. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Center would be appreciated.
