Peter R. Calac

Peter R. Calac, 51, of Canton, OH passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2024. Born and raised in Canton, OH. He attended Canton McKinley High School and followed in his families footsteps of serving his country by joining the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army.
Pete worked for the City of Canton and operated the family striping business, Calac Parking Lot Marking, before retiring. Known lovingly by his family as Petey, his smile could brighten up a room. His energy was so contagious you couldn't help to be drawn to him. He was known for his fun, loving, silly, goofy personality that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him.
In times of leisure Pete loved to spend time golfing, bowling, and watching his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed yard work and prided himself on keeping his home in pristine condition. He had unconditional love for not only those around him, but for all of his animals that he had throughout his life by his side.
Pete is preceded in death by his father, Peter D. Calac. He is survived by his mother, Millie Calac; two sons, Peter J. Calac and Anthony Covert; daughter Jaidynn Calac; sister Christina Calac; and two nieces, Sydney and Riley Calac.
Calling hours and a celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 6th at Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Road Northwest, Canton, OH 44709 from 2:00PM - 3:30PM with a short service to close. In honor of his service to our great nation, Peter will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to be with his father during a private burial ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Humane Society of Stark County or the Stark County Dog Warden.
