Peter Hall Obituary
Peter Redfern Hall passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at The Overlook's Health Center after a long battle with cancer.
Peter was born in Cambridge, MA on March 22, 1933. He was the oldest of three boys and grew up in Lexington, MA. His mother was the former Sarah Redfern, and his father was the eminent radar scientist, William Hall.
Peter went to Williams College and got his Masters in electronics at MIT. He was a principal engineer at Raytheon.
After retirement, Peter and his wife, Marieke Stuckens Hall, moved from Sudbury, MA to Wellfleet on Cape Cod and lived many happy years there. During his retirement, Peter designed and built their house in South Wellfleet. He was a Selectman in Wellfleet for many years and was very active in the nature conservation and open space initiatives. He loved his boat and gardening.
Peter and Marieke moved to Charlton, MA in 2017, and loved living there.
Peter is survived by his wife, Marieke, sons James (wife Cynthia) Hall and Jeffrey Hall, and a daughter, Sara (husband
Karl) Maul. He was predeceased by his daughter Suzanne Hall.
Marieke's sons Paul, Jon and David Weisblatt also mourn Peter's passing. He was much beloved by his five grandchildren as well.
The family thanks The Overlook for the excellent care that Peter was given. A family gathering and memorial will be
planned for Peter later this fall in Wellfleet.

I remember Peter as a very gentle man who was interested in a lot of things. When we came to visit them in Wellfleet in the summer of 1993, he took us to Vermont to lake Champlain, where we met grandpa Bill. He took us in a boat to the lake and learned us to waterski.
A couple of years later he visited us in Belgium. He was making his own beer, which is also a hobby of my husband Michel . We wish Marieke all the best and think of her.
Love, Kathy
