Peter Douglas “Pete” Krings, 56, of Fayetteville, went home to be with his Lord on May 29, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Pete was born January 7, 1969, to the late Glenda and Nolton Krings, in Fayetteville, NC. He was a graduate of Cape Fear High School class of 1987 and NC State University class of 1991. He was primarily employed as store manager for Rose’s, Walgreen’s, and CVS.
He was a longtime member of Judson Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and served his church through committees. He liked to play golf, hunt and play board games with his family. He enjoyed sports and watching his children play sports.
Funeral services to celebrate Peter’s life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2 pm at Judson Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Damon Thomas presiding. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 2 pm at church in the Fellowship Hall.
Pete is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marsha Krings; four children, Meagan Krings of Raleigh, Joshua Krings and his wife Koler of Fayetteville, Caleb Krings of Fayetteville, and Christopher Krings of Fayetteville; six siblings, Eileen Rettig, Melissa Pajunen and husband Bill, Kevin Krings and wife Carolyn, Dennis Krings and wife Terri, Tim Krings and wife Carla, and Mary Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Krings
Memorials may be made to Judson Missionary Baptist Church Faith and Family Feeding.
