Peter Light

Peter McClure Light, age 76, a resident of Acton, died unexpectedly on February 16, 2025. Born in West Harford, Connecticut on March 31, 1948, he was the son of the late Galen David Jr and Lois (McClure) Light. He attended North Yarmouth Academy and later graduated from Suffolk University.
Peter was formerly associated with Shawmut County Bank and Fleet Bank where he retired. He was an active member of the Lincoln Minuteman and participated in the Arnold Expedition to Quebec 1975. Peter enjoyed stamp collecting and playing the organ. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time outside on walks with his dogs.
Peter is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna (Mulherin) Light: two daughters, Holly and her husband Bryan Fitts of Wells, Maine and Katie Light of North Attleboro, his brother, Galen David III and his wife Jacqui Light of Danvers, his sister-in-law Judith Wilson of Canada and his grandchild, Alexander Thomas Fitts of Wells, Maine. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.

Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton, Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton, Massachusetts, on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
