Peter G. Meyer, 64, of Hauppauge, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Patricia nee O'Grady, and his three daughters: Anne, Sara and Mary Kate.
An alumnus of Wagner College, he graduated with a B.A. in Accounting. It is there that he met his wife 46 years ago. Raised in Smithtown, NY, Mr. Meyer is the son of Jacob and Mary Meyer. He is survived by three siblings and their spouses, Donna (Don) Cotrone of Lake Grove, James (Donna) Meyer of Weatherly, PA and Laura (Paul) Morretta of Patchogue.
Mr. Meyer was CFO for the West Sayville firm of Peck & Hale where his dedication and outstanding work ethic placed him among the most loyal and dependable employees. Outside of work, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, being outdoors and tackling various household and automotive projects.
Blessed with a God-given sweet tooth, he rarely turned down a piece of candy or a bowl of ice cream. He was often heard offering to share a "piece of fruit" only to pour Skittles into your hand.
A service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 12-3pm at Moloney Funeral Home-Hauppauge.
132 Ronkonkoma Avenue, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779
