Peter Milo

Peter Milo, 77, of Scotrun, passed away early Sunday morning, August 18, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Lipari) Milo with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the only child of the late Peter and Ann (Somma) Milo and has lived in Monroe County since 1990.
He was most proud of his service in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971 where he served on the USS Shangri-La for four years and was on board for the ship's last cruise.
Peter worked for Brooklyn Union Gas Company until his retirement.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville and the USS Shangri-La Union Association.
Peter enjoyed woodworking; and when he worked on boilers and other mechanical problems he was meticulous and if he fixed it, it stayed fixed.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two two sons, Peter Milo and his significant other Elizabeth Walters of Brooklyn, NY, and Steven Milo and his wife Michaelene of Baldwinsville, NY; and four grandchildren, Kevin, Dante, James and Norah.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 22nd from 3:00 to 5:00PM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 23rd, at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, 327 Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville with Rev. Richard E. Czachor as celebrant. Private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
