Peter N. Reid, 70, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025. He was born in 1954 to his parents the late Norman and Rachel Reid. He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Reid. He is also survived by his children Taylor Reid and Mackenzie (Reid) and her husband Ben Larsen. He is the loving grandfather of Elsie, Staylee, Mae and Roslin. He was pre deceased by his brother Kirk and is survived by his brother David. He is also the uncle of Laurie, Beth, Kim, Reagan, Sarah, Andrew and Adam.
He loved to tell his stories and had such a kind heart. Pete was a third generation Superintendent at River Side Cemetery in Fairhaven, MA. He will always be remembered with a smile and a chuckle and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

I just now found out about Pete´s passing way too soon. I enjoyed his respectful stories and anecdotes about Riverside gravestones and `residents´. He left a wondeful legacy that surely would make his Dad proud. Rest In Peace my good Pete.

Dear Heidi &Family, we were so very sorry to hear of Peter´s passing . Everyone that write something is the very same way we felt about Peter. This to us was so unexpected and it breaks our heart to know we won´t be greeted by him at cemetery every time we go there. A wonderful man with a very kind heart . He was just the best when my husband and I had to pick out a cremation monument. My husband had cancer and it was very hard to think of his passing. With Peter´s help it was much easier We got into the new black monument in front and a double so I will be with him. Rest in peace we will always remember your kindness.

I will miss his stories. When at riverside or out in town if he seen me he always stopped to talk. It definitely won't be the same. Will miss him dearly.

So many Riverside memories, my brother David, was very close to him. Peter placed him to rest right behind our childhood home after he passed. Such a really Good Man! I loved his Dad, Mr. Reid, and will never forget them. Great Loss

Peter , may you be at peace above still tending to your family and friends with your friendly smile .
I remember chatting with you at the Acushnet Town Hall as you waited for your granddaughter and I for my granddaughters. I enjoyed those moments as we exchanged stories about them .
We still said hello as we bumped into each other throughout the town .
We will finish our granddaughter stories when it is my time to have you welcome me above .

Peter was my first childhood friend. So many memories growing up with him hanging out on the bouncing tree together. Those memories have stayed with me my entire life. He was one of a kind and will be missed. My condolences to his entire family.
