Peter David Sherwin, 84, of Conroe, Tx, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. Born on December 3, 1940, in Spangler, Pennsylvania, Peter was the beloved son of Lee and Lois Sherwin.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business, Peter built a long and fulfilling career with Texaco, serving in Human Resources. His work was marked by dedication, professionalism, and care for the people around him.
Outside of his career, Peter lived life with enthusiasm and a love for adventure. He enjoyed the quiet focus of fly fishing, the challenge of golf, and the joy of traveling to new places. A man of deep faith and service, he was a devoted member of First Methodist Church and a proud Mason.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his children, Kristin Sherwin and John Sherwin; his step-children, Joseph Laukaitus and Vicki Alamadi; and his many siblings, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lois Sherwin, and his grandson, Grant Sherwin.
A private family service to honor Peter’s life will be held at Eickenhorst Funeral Services.
Peter will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the way he made those around him feel valued and loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
