Peter C. Stiles

Peter C Stiles passed away Tuesday March 8, 2022 at home. He was 52 years old.
A lifelong resident of Freehold, born at Freehold Area Hospital in 1970 and educated through the Freehold School system, graduating from Freehold Borough High School in 1988.
Enlisting in United States Marines Corps immediately upon graduation. Peter signed a blank check payable to the United States of America for the amount of up to and including his life. He proudly served his country in Operation Desert Storm, earning several commendations and medals.
After serving and completing his term in the Marine Corps, Peter returned to his hometown of Freehold, NJ. This is where he would remain for all his days. He loved Freehold and was known and loved by everyone he met. Always greeted you with a smile on his face and a kind word from his lips.
Peter could often be seen on Sundays at St. Rose of Lima Church where he always sat up front, proud of his faith in God.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 54 in Freehold, as well as Freehold Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374 where he enjoyed doing things for and with his fellow veterans. He loved the VFW post where he spent his time with friends, sharing stories and laughs. He was willing to help anyone out whether it was moving furniture or cutting their grass or helping to set up a BBQ for a picnic. He would always respond with "Hey, that's what family does for each other".
He loved his motorcycle and was a proud member of the Freehold VFW Riders.
Surviving are his fiance, Francine Spinelli of Howell and her children Krista and Andrew, who Peter loved and treated as his own.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Charles Stiles.
Peter is survived by his mother Mary Stiles of Freehold, and two daughters Mikayla and Ava.
Peter Is also survived by his brother and best friend Jeffrey Stiles, of Manalapan and three sisters whom he loved dearly, Nancy Rakes, Freehold; Susan Stiles Perri, Neptune; and Bonnie Savarino, Ocala,Fla.
Peter was an uncle to four nieces; Sara, Jennifer, Cassidy and Erica and two nephews; Anthony and Jeffrey Jr. along with several great nieces and nephews. Peter loved family and greeted them all with a hug and a kiss always.
All are welcome to visit on Tuesday, March 15 from 4-8 at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold with a service on Wednesday at 10 am. From there we will be bringing him to Brigadier General William. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
In lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to your choice of the many war veterans' organizations that assist those who proudly served their country.
