Peter Wojcicki Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. - Pearl River on Nov. 19, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Peter Louis Wojcicki, 66, of Millville, Delaware, passed away on November 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 26, 1959, in New York, NY, Peter was raised in Bayside, Queens, where he met lifelong friends who remained a cherished part of his story. He attended Archbishop Molloy High School, excelling both academically and athletically.

Peter's talent on the baseball field earned him a full athletic scholarship to James Madison University, where he was recruited as a pitcher - and where he met the love of his life, Patricia. Fun fact: a well-rounded team player, Peter made appearances at all nine positions during his years at JMU. His passion for baseball was matched by his love of hockey and his dedication to his beloved Detroit sports teams, exceeded only by his devotion to his family.

A man whose presence couldn't help but fill a room, Peter was larger than life - the embodiment of fun, charisma, and intensity. He remained active throughout his life and took pride in sharing his love of both sports. He enjoyed many years playing on a 40-and-older baseball team, including a few seasons alongside his late father-in-law. He continued to compete in adult hockey leagues and organized a team with his Bayside buddies to play in Lake Placid - elevating childhood street hockey memories into realizing his dream of playing "on the pond."

Peter built a successful career in advertising sales, his magnetic personality a natural fit for connecting with others. He poured himself into everything he loved: his family, his treasured friendships, baseball, hockey, and the joy of cheering on his teams. He and Patricia raised their three daughters in West Nyack, NY, where countless memories were made - from beloved holiday traditions to epic Detroit Red Wings Championship parties. His sense of humor, competitive fire, and ability to make everyday moments extraordinary will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Peter will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather ("Papi"), and loyal friend - a true force of nature whose memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Chester (Chet) Wojcicki; his father-in-law, Patrick Clinton; his brothers, Richard and Larry; and his sister, Clare. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his daughters, Meghan, Rebecca, and Kylie; his sister, Marylou; his sons-in-law, Nathan Hahn and Steven Baruffi; and his adored grandchildren, Gavin, Morgan, Myles, and Ava, who will carry forward his fierce love and larger-than-life spirit.

As Peter would often say: Godspeed. May he rest in peace, knowing his legacy lives on in every life he touched.

A visitation will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY, on Friday, November 28, from 3–7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, NY, on Saturday, November 29, at 10 a.m.
