It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alexander “Wojo” Fleming Wojcicki, of Fayetteville, NC. He departed this earth on July 22, 2025.
Wojo was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Xavier High School in1965. From there he went on to attend and graduate from Notre Dame University in 1970. This was where he met his wife of 52 years, Katey.
Wojo was commissioned into the Army in 1970. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1972, where for his service he was awarded the Bronze Star as well as the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. In the course of his 20 year military career he also served in the 7th and 10th group Special Forces, 1st SoCom and USASOC. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW, and SF Association.
After his military retirement, Wojo formed his own business management consulting firm, Decision Focus. From 2003-05 he worked for the Center of National Response in Beckley, WV. He spent time working with the National Guard Bureau from 2005-07. To round off his career he worked for the DIA, finishing out with a detail to the CIA in 2020.
Wojo is survived by his wife Katey, his children Rene Elliott (husband Mike), AJ, Katrina Raikakos as well as his grandchildren Lee, Thomas, Amber and Jonathan Elliott, and Alyssa Anderson. He is also survived by his brother Michael Wojcicki. He was preceded in death by his parents Alexander S. and Mercedes Wojcicki.
There will be no funeral services. There will be an open house at a later date. Wojo is to be interred in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the DAV at help.dav.org or Special Forces Association at specialforcesassociation.org.
