Sending my prayers to the Worthington family. Peter was a great guy and a true professional. I always admired the way he handled himself on many of our co-surety calls, many of which required Peter to deliver thought provoking and tactful messages. He was a leader in every sense of the word and I always enjoyed seeing him at industry events around the country. He will be missed by many. RIP Peter.

I'm very sorry to hear about Peter. We knew each other for 34-years, first meeting at Reliance Surety's bond training in Philadelphia in 1991. Peter was my Home Office Underwriter at both Reliance and Liberty Mutual. The group picture is from our bond training class, and the 2nd pic is from an event in SoCal a couple of years ago. My thoughts and prayers go out to Peter's family. I will miss Peter. He left us too early.

Dear Peter, finding myself writing this note makes me feel empty. You were one of the kindest, great professional, smart and good souls individuals, that I have had the privilege to meet in a work environment. I can´t not remember anything else but good vibes, gentleness and good memories about you. The world feels a whole after your soul moved to other pastures. I extent to your wife, family and closer friends our highest condolences. You will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to you.

It truly was a blessing to have known Peter for over 20 years. Peter´s selflessness, hard work, and unwavering positivity made him not just a fantastic colleague but also a dear friend to so many of us. He was always ready to share his wisdom and mentor others, and Peter had that uncanny ability to make us smile no matter what the situation. His presence will be greatly missed.

I will always remember Peter as a gentle and kind presence in our office-someone whose soft-spoken nature brought calm to even the busiest days. One memory that stands out is when we volunteered together at a cancer community center several years ago, doing gardening work. As we planted flowers and pulled weeds, we chatted about college majors and career planning for our kids. It was such a simple moment, but it left a lasting impression on me. Peter always carried himself with quiet strength and sincerity. His absence is deeply felt.

I am really sad that Peter has passed. He was truly one of my favorite surety executives. We were contemporaries and knew each other for decades. He was a real gentleman. Always kind, patient and had a good sense of humor. Aside from in person or virtual business dealings we played golf together a number of times and I would love to hear about his family (wife, kids, grandkids). He was very human! Just a few weeks ago I admired a pullover he was wearing with a Liberty Emu on it then one arrived for me in my office two weeks later. I will wear thinking of him often. What a kind person. I will miss him.

I worked with Peter his entire career at LMS. He fully lived our principles of treating people with dignity and respect. His ethical approach to personal and business dealings always brought high regard to the family name. I hope the many great memories of Peter carry the family through this challenging time. RIP!

Peter and I were in Bond School together and worked together in Dallas for Reliance. He was a super guy, smart, loving and caring. He was not shy and was quick with a smile and handshake. We stayed in touch, I like to think we were valuable resources for each other. He was very proud of his kids and was obviously very much in love with Lois. I have attached our Bond School photo for remembrance. God Bless Peter and my condolences to all his family and friends. He will be missed.

To Peter's family- I have been in so many customer meetings with Peter in the last 10 years all over the U.S. He was always a contributor, did not mind asking hard questions and always did so respectfully. He was a true gentleman and very well regarded among his peers. I will miss seeing him and am so very sorry for your immense loss. He was and always will be one of the good guys. Rest in peace Peter.

Peter was one of the first to welcome me to Liberty, when I started fresh out of college in 2013. He became not only one of my mentors, but one my favorite colleagues and friend. He always made time for me, and for all that asked him for help. He would always greet you with smile, a joke and his full undivided attention. You will never be forgotten PW, i will miss your smile, your classic Jersey punch-lines, and old school slang, most of all I will miss running into you at all our work-events, as I wouldnt be where I am today, without you. As you watch over us, I'm sure you'll have a place to always "wet your whistle", and I'll make sure I do the same in your honor, for as long as I can. Rest in Peace, dear friend. You will be forever remembered and missed always.

The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.
Peter Worthington, you embodied this. You were a partner and most importantly a friend. I will miss you dearly. God speed friend!
