Pheung immigrated to the United States in 1981 and became a proud U.S. citizen in 1994. He held a deep appreciation for his Chinese heritage and culture, which he carried with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his son, Kenny Chea, and daughter-in-law, Sophoas In, of Nashua, NH, as well as his grandchildren, Bunhour Chea and Phallyna Chea. He was also the last surviving sibling of the late Yen Chea, Yok Chea, Ha Chea, and Chou Tan.
