In Loving Memory of Philip Geevarghese
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Philip (Phil) Geevarghese on January 16th, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 47. Phil was a kind, happy and generous soul who touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his warmth, enthusiasm, humor and great smile. His friendship and loving attitude was a gift, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Phil was born on September 1st, 1977 in Kerala, South India. He came to the U.S. at a young age and attended St. Leonard for grade and middle school and graduated high school from Kentucky Country Day in 1995. Phil attended both the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville and went on to a long and fruitful career at Charter Communications dedicating nearly 23 years as a loyal, engaged and dedicated leader to many. He headed up a team of 65 associates offering 24/7 support to Spectrum customers nationwide in his role as Director of Network Operations.
Phil was the son of Dr. Kunnathu Geevarghese and his late mother Chinnu Geevarghese. He is survived by his wife of over 10 years, Brett Meyer, his 23 year old son, Kaleb, his 12 year old daughter, Teagan and many other family members and great friends.
Phil loved spending time with his family and friends, was very passionate about anything and everything related to University of Louisville athletics, an avid and competitive pickleball player, a super proud Dad and very active in both of his children's lives, activities and education, a devoted "Dance Dad/Husband" and he found great overall joy in connecting with others who shared some of these same passions.
Phil was described by many as one of the "good guys." He was genuine, entertaining and had a great sense of humor. Phil had an innate ability to make people feel happy. His laughter was contagious, and his presence and attentiveness was a comfort to those around him. Phil had an adventurous spirit and brought light into the lives of those fortunate enough to call him a family member or friend. His loyalty and passion were qualities that defined him, and they will live on in the memories of all who loved him. His legacy is one that is based on the deep connections he made with everyone he met, cared for deeply and loved so much. While Phil may no longer walk among us, his bold spirit, love and friendship will forever live on in our hearts. Phil, you will be dearly missed. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
The visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M,. with a Trisagion service following at 8:00 P.M. at St. Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40220. The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Michael Orthodox Church, with interment to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
With the saints, give rest O Christ to the soul of thy servant, Philip where there is no pain, nor suffering, nor sighing, but life everlasting. May his memory be eternal!

I am so very saddened to hear of Phillip´s passing... far too early. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I have nothing but fond memories from our childhood together as students. He was a really kind friend. I won´t be able to make it to town for these events, but will be lifting his survived family & friends in prayer & peace.

Phil was the happiest, kind respectful and fun guy I met and worked with in Louisville. The world loss a great guy and he will be sorely missed. There are so many great times and memories shared with Phil. Softball games, pre and post softball drinks and Video Golf games with Willie, lunches, work trips, work projects. All of them were happy and fun, even the work ones.
Sincere Condolences got out to his Family and Friends.
